Sthitaprajna is a vegan community located close to the Western Coast of South India in the state of Karnataka, on the footsteps of Western Ghats-a world hot spot of bio-diversity. Sthitaprajna is spread over about 3 acres of vibrant nature in sylvan surroundings along a seasonal natural stream.
At Sthitaprajna, we have places for the practice of yoga, pranayama and meditation. It is an eco-friendly centre for relaxation and rejuvenation having very basic amenities with places for reading and listening to soulful music, playing indoor and outdoor games, cooking and eating, etc.
December & January : Pleasant with no rains. Temperature ranges from 15 to 30 degree celcius.
June, July & August: Lots of rains can be expected as it is monsoon time. Temperature is from 20 to 35 degree celcius with more humidity and with greenery and water all around.
April and May: Hot and humid, but good for birtd-watching. There are many species of birds available to watch, most prominent among them are the Great Indian Hornbills.
September, October & November: Some rains, much greens in earlier months.
February & March: Dry, from pleasant to hot. Temperature not beyond 35 degrees
New Cottage is now ready for occupation. Visits and stay can be facilitated any time of the year. Best time to visit is from September to February. June to August are monsoon months with heavy rainfall. If you find it is fun to be in rains, it is the time to visit. March to May are hot and humid.

Sthitaprajna is located about 450 kms from Bangalore, about 900 kms from Mumbai, about 200 kms from Goa. Nearest airport is Mangalore (130 kms), nearest railway station is Byndoor or Mookambika Road(10kms).
